INTERVIEW | Richard Horne looks ahead to Featherstone

The Dons head coach says his side learnt a lot from last weekend's clash with Wakefield and have taken the positives into this week's training.

Doncaster RLFC host Featherstone Rovers this Sunday, April 14 with a 3pm kick-off at the Eco-Power Stadium.

Horne is looking for his side to go again this weekend and continue adding to their game in certain areas, "The speed of plays has gone up a level compared to what we've been used to in the past, we want to make sure the tempo is on our terms."

On making several changes to the 18 last weekend, Horne said, "There were a few boys that needed some minutes in their legs and we wanted to give them an opportunity to put their names forward for the coming weeks."

With a lot of change at Featherstone and plenty of movement even 48 hours prior to game day, Horne discussed the difficulties in preparing for fixtures where clubs can bring in a handful of dual reg personnel so close to kick-off, "Looking at their squad that took the field against Bradford, you preview that and then they name their 21-man squad and it has four dual reg players and three potentially returning from injury.

"We'll have to adapt and it's just part and parcel of the game," he said.
